JOB DESCRIPTION: General purpose of the job is to pick orders and maintain warehouse standards. Assist in organizing stock, materials, and products, loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse area and on the dock. Perform accurate inventory counts as needed. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards, in accordance with the organization's Code of Conduct and Operating and Guiding Principles, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere by his/her behavior and communications to others.
SKILLS: Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a fork truck, pallet truck etc. Ability or willingness to work with computers for daily data entry. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, memos, and shipping reports. Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with other employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Special vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand, reach above shoulders, stoop, kneel, walk, crouch, crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine. Ability to use hands to finger, handle or touch. Ability to sit, talk and listen. The physical demands described in the paragraph would be used as part of your regular daily duties.
