
SUMMARY:
Reports to the Plant Manager to document processes, assist team members in reaching goals, organizing work areas and assist in achieving daily goals.

We believe in working with our interns on a work schedule that allows them to focus on school and homework. We also believe in paying our interns competitive wages. This position will allow the team member to gain insight to the workings of a business and the manufacturing process. This internship will expose the team member to all levels in the organization to assist in building a resume that will allow the team member to become competitive in the job market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Meet the requirements of the Lakeside Vision Statement and Guiding Principles
- Assist the Plant Manager in documenting processes and sharing the information with the team
- Assist in areas of inventory to properly label products and organize them in a visual way
- Help in work area layout and execute changes with the team
- Assist in pulling purchased and manufactured product and placing items into work areas for completion
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, impeccable follow through and strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have good oral and written communications skills to communicate effectively to all levels of management and co-workers.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma. Working towards a 2 or 4 year degree is required to participate in the intern program.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Provide assistance to other departments as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written skills are required
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires business math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and use fractions and decimals.
REASONING SKILLS: Must be able to define problems, establish facts, collect data and draw valid conclusions based on this information. Must be able to prioritize tasks and fully utilize time efficiently and effectively.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be team-oriented yet work well independently, approachable, and flexible with a willingness to be of assistance to others. Must be able to prioritize, organize, manage and follow through multiple tasks. Maintains constant and open communication with the HR Manager.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Must be able to use the copier, fax machine, computer and related software, printer, telephone and voice mail.
